VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES
At Star House we greatly value the contribution that our volunteers make. They are true community partners and help us to accomplish our goals for children and families. There are many opportunities to share your gifts and talents including: mentoring, maintenance, development, office and yard work. Volunteers who mentor children make a special commitment. We ask for at least one year of service as a mentor. This requires additional training and supervision as well. We look for those who are passionate about our mission, committed, compassionate and positive.
The Volunteer Process
- Fill out a Volunteer Application and mail it back to us.
- Click on the link below for the application.
- When we receive your application we will call you to set up an interview.
- At the interview both volunteer and staff will be able to determine if it is a match.
- If invited to volunteer you will be asked to attend a required training session, sign a confidentiality form and undergo a Criminal Background Records Check.
- Training sessions are two hours long and are held in the evening hours. For more information please call 978 203-9195.
